Golfshake "Best Scores"?

Recommended Posts

Dear Golfshake - I was realty pleased to record my 3rd ever sub-90 score today (an 88 for 39 points off a 22 H/C). However, when I look at "My Best rounds" list, I was very disappointed for it to not be showing at all! Even more surprising is that a 94 for 39 points off 28, still appears at the bottom! So it seems your system places far too much importance on Stableford points scoring, rather than gross medal scores. How can a 94 be better than an 88, bearing in mind, how it is much more difficult to rack up S/F points as your H/C goes lower! Regards, Bob.

Updated info - I don't know if Golfshake admin has intervened, but my 88 is now showing in the list, but it's at the bottom as ONLY 39 S/F points! So several scores of 90 to 92 still rank above it, as had more S/F points achieved when my H/C was higher. So whilst I'm happy that my equalled 2nd best ever score is now posted. I still can't see how it doesn't take a higher place in the list! For me it should be in 3rd place, below my current PB 84 and the first ever sub 90 score of 88, which scored more points as off a higher H/C.

Not sure which one is correct. Best score could really mean anything at all to each person. I guess since all our handicaps are administer via Stableford points it makes some sense.

for me, my best score is currently showing as a 72 bit that was on a Par 69 course ... in my head my best score was a 73 that I shot on a Par 72 course!

Each to to their own :)
