Albatross !!!

Recommended Posts

I play off 28, and got down in 2 on a par 3 where I had 2 shots...  what stableford score is it, for some reason I can't get my head round it. My mates are saying it's an albatross and about 5 points

5 points is correct, and effectively you scored a nett zero!

generally you would only give them names on your gross score, so you scored a birdie ...of course there is no hard and fast rules for that so fall it whatever you want :)

playing off a 28 hc you get 2 shots on holes which have a stroke index of 10 or below. If you cannot score any points then you may pick up an move onto the next hole

scores in stableford are as follows;

net double bogey 0 points

net bogey 1 point

net par 2

net birdie 3

net eagle 4

net albatross 5

In a medal round you have to putt out on every hole and the actual amount of strokes taken must be recorded on the score card, your handicap is then subtracted from the total shots to give you a net score
