Beginner golfer ! Newish to Leeds (south)

Recommended Posts

Hi All , so have been in Leeds for just under 2 years and the friends I have made are great , but none are interested in golf ! I am a beginner spend most of my time at various driving ranges and occasionally par3 courses and a few lessons here and there ! I had 2 horrendous  rounds last year which really knocked me back and made me stop for a while ! Having only recently got back into golf I think I need someone to actually play with ! And get practicing on the course ! If someone is out there who would be interested in having a few rounds or even practicing down the range with me give me a shout !

cheers

Hi,

I live in North Leeds and would be interested in playing.

I can do evenings at this time of year if that suits you?

Thanks, Paul.

I live in Roundhay. I'm the same mate. I love playing but haven't got a regular game. I go to the driving range and get a game when I can with mates but none of my golfing mates live in Leeds. Do you have a handicap? I was a member at a club for a year and got to 26 so I'm a complete novice myself looking to get better.

If you'd like to get in touch to arrange a round or maybe 9 holes one evening let me know.  My email address is

[email protected]

hope to hear from you,

Paul.

Hi,

I'm in Leeds, over at Morley. Just started playing properly this year myself. I've played about 5 rounds so far.

Would be interested in going for a game, let me know when you're free.

Cheers,

GPav

I'm looking to meet up with local golfers who like myself are looking for casual games. I don't play often enough to warrant joining a club, so pay greenfee's but would like to play more then i do. I don't have an official handicap as not a club member but would say i play off about 18 - 20. South Leeds, Lofthouse and the Manor, Driglington are local to me but happy to travel as long as not to far away and would be interested to meet with other casual and sociable player.

      Hi
I am 26 years old and moved to Leeds about a year ago. I have always enjoyed playing golf but haven't ever been in the routine of playing regularly. I met a couple of friends through my wife and we play maybe once every couple of months but I am looking to go more often. I feel this would be a good way to make this happen and also meet people in the area. I haven't got a handicap or anything yet, just enjoy getting out and having a game. If anyone is interested let me know.
      Cheers

I have recently started playing golf with my son who has a full time job and doesn't want to play golf in the winter. I don't really know anyone else who plays in my area.
I am therefore looking for a novice like myself. I can play in the week but not at weekends. Peter

      Hi everyone
Having not played for over 15 years I decided to start playing again and have been practicing at the range since the beginning of the year.  I'm now ready to hit the golf course but have nobody to play with.  I am in Leeds and would like to maybe join a group or play in a league of some sort.  I'm thinking of joining the Leeds Golf Centre or Cookridge but not knowing anyone or having someone to play with is a little nerve racking for me. My ideal situation would be joining a friendly group and at some point playing at famous golf courses like St Andrews and the Belfry etc.
