A new wearable golf performance tracker, from an Edinburgh based company, 'Shot Scope' has launched this week, Website is up and running and various video and images to see the stats package they provide, and apparently they will be attending the PGA show in Florida to showcase the product (so I assume there will be much more media after that) So what makes it different to other devices that are already out in the market? Wristband and tag system, that doesn't need to the tagged. It automatically senses the shot and tags the club, using a gps within the wristband to locate the distance etc. Lots of stats, that I assume can be changed/updated by the company as and when they write new software. Doesnt use 'shots gained' but something similar to target your performance. Battery should last 2 rounds in wristband (9hrs), you get 20 tags (spares plus some specialised shots?) can store 100 rounds of data before it needs to be uploaded. Shouldn't require any post editing (assuming the tagging system works as intended) Not available until April 'ish and with a 20% off offer at the moment (regular pricing similar to game golf live). Will be interesting to see some reviews to see if the product perform as expected as the automated and reliable aspect is the one thing that I think is lacking from the GameGolf and Microsoft Band implementations.
